Caitlin Kirkman, AM, CLC, DOULA
I have been attending births for four years, as a doula in Wyoming and Colorado where I am from, on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska where I did my midwifery apprenticeship and now in Sonoma County. This fall I will be a NARM licensed CPM. Before my apprenticeship I attended Midwifery birth conferences and workshops and became a birth doula, and also a lactation councilor.

Wherever I am birth is the constant. I believe that as women birth is in our blood. Birth has carried me even further into birth attendant. I am honored to be called to attend women and families through this most amazing life passage. Midwifery is constantly teaching and reteaching me not only about birth and its process but also about life and our capabilities as humans.

I so enjoy being able to educate and facilitate women and families to grow and make well informed decisions about their health care and bodies. I especially love witnessing as that becomes a beautiful and empowering birth experience. All birth is beautiful, whether at home or hospital. Being informed can make all the difference.
As well as attending home and birth center births and serving women in the states, I am fiercely interested in birth in other countries. As apart of my midwifery path I am very excited to explore other birth cultures in other parts of the world and provide prenatal, birth, and postpartum care to women in impoverished areas.
